In episode 24, I’m chatting with Michelle Harris about Photography Education. Michelle is a mentor that you definitely want in your corner. After taking the leap to full-time entrepreneurship, Michelle has grown a thriving wedding photography business, an associate photography team, and an education empire designed for creative entrepreneurs with conferences, workshops, and a bootcamp.
Michelle takes a “no-excuses” approach to education. In order to move forward and achieve those crazy dreams filling your head, you need to leap. Don’t worry about having everything perfect from the start—your strategy will develop over time.
Since there aren’t a lot of resources out there for photographers hoping to break into the educational area, Michelle shares some practical tips for anyone hoping to share their photography knowledge with the world.
With all that Michelle has going on—along with being a wife and mom—it can be difficult to put her own needs ahead of her business’s. Michelle has some great tips for self care including starting small. Take just one day off. Don’t do any work. Schedule time to pamper yourself, meet up with friends, and just be present.
